Meringue Kisses

6 egg whites

350g sugar

food colouring of your choice

Method

Place the egg whites into a large bowl and beat together with an electric beater until slightly foamy (about 3 minutes)

With the beater still going, gradually add in all of the sugar, and continue to mix until stiff peaks form (about 10 minutes)

Taking a piping bag and place a nosel type (preferably a medium circle tip) into the bottom of the bag.

Take a food colour of you choice and run the colour inside of the piping bag, making about three lines running from the piping nosel, to the top of the piping bag inside.

Spoon half of the meringue mixture into the piping bag, and seal by squeezing the remaining air our and twisting the to of the bag to create a tight, compact cone shape.

Pipe the meringue mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper, approximately 2.5cm in diameter.

Place meringues into a preheated oven at 90 degrees c
